Ticket booking and operating hours
Westgate Cinema officially opens daily from 10. am to 9.30 pm. However, I have seen some movies scheduled for 10 pm. So, if you want to watch a movie, you need to check out their movie website and check out the full schedule.
If you want to watch any of the scheduled movies, you can book online from the comfort of your home or walk directly to the cinema lobby and purchase a ticket from the cashier. You may have to queue if you are going to get the ticket personally.
Here are the steps for booking your ticket online:
- On your device, open the Westgate shop website.
- Below a list of the movies provided, click on the tab “book now.”
- Select your session (The system will show the day, time, and where the movie will be cast.
- Choose the seat on your preferred row. The price for watching the movie will be displayed.
- Enter your name, email and Mpesa number then proceed to pay.
- Your payment details will be sent to your email.
Prices of watching vary per movie but they are generally pocket-friendly. Tickets go for as low as KES 350, and the highest goes for KES 1000. You will pay a higher price if you choose the VIP option.
How to get to get there
The Westgate Mall is located along Mwanzi Road in Nairobi’s Westlands. The destination is easily accessible from the city center with either private or public transport. Taxi or online cabs is the fastest way to get there, and taking a bus or matatu is the cheapest.
